Migration from Blogger to WordPress
We’re in the process of migrating this blog over to a self hosted WordPress install. Normal service will be resumed shortly.
We also realise that since signing up on twitter, we’ve been neglecting the blog somewhat. That’s all gonna change. :)
Limecrete Company wins green competition
Build Norfolk and BEST East put together a competition to find people with new and bright innovative ideas, services, products, concepts or materials for sustainable construction. Kind of a Green Dragon’s Den if you will.
After a grilling by the Dragons, The Limecrete Company came out to win the competition with their innovative hempcrete spraying techniques. Shortly after the competition, The Limecrete Co’s Myles Yallop was interviewed on Radio Norfolk and you can hear the interview below.
Well done to everybody at The Limecrete Co. who keep taking sustainable construction to higher levels!
How to Reset Your Forgotten Windows Password the Easy Way
Forgetting your password is never any fun, but luckily there’s a really easy way to reset the password. All you need is a copy of the Windows installation disk and one simple command line trick.
Basically, the plan is to temporarily replace the Sticky Keys utility with a command shell which we can launch from the login screen.
- Boot from your Windows install disk and choose the “Repair your computer” option.
- Choose “Command Prompt”
- Move to the System32 directory:
cd c:\windows\system32
- Backup the Sticky Keys file:
copy sethc.exe sethc.old
- Copy our shell to replace Sticky Keys:
copy cmd.exe sethc.exe
and confirm the file being overwritten - Reboot
- On the login screen, repeatedly press the [Shift] key until the command window appears.
- Change the password as desired:
net user YOURUSERNAME YOURPASSWORD
Substituting the caps for your username and new password - Login with your new password.
>Once you successfully login, remember to replace the Sticky Keys file!

BootstrASP – Our first open source project
We are very excited to announce our first open source project that we’re calling BootstrASP. It’s a simple framework for building websites with ASP and twitter’s Bootstrap with some added CSS3 candy thrown in for good measure!
You’ll find all the info on the project’s github page. If you spot something wrong, you have an idea for a new feature or you have a better way of doing something, please submit a pull request and we’ll review your code. It’s an ever evolving project and new features are being regularly added.
BootstrASP is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 which means you are free to copy, distribute, hack, slice, make derivatives and even to make commercial use of it provided that you both credit Trippnology and release your work under an identical license. We’re big fans of open source software (and hardware for that matter) so we’re really pleased to be giving a tiny something back to the community.
