Nurture Your Nature: a calm WordPress build for a wellbeing brand

Nurture Your Nature hero

Re-enchanting the everyday. That’s the line Sarah Clark uses for her business, Nurture Your Nature: forest bathing, garden gatherings, huddle circles in a hand-built earthen roundhouse, and nature-based retreats. Our job was to build a website that lived up to that feeling.

The brief

Sarah came to us with a clear vision and a real deadline. She needed a live, professional site in time to approach landowners and associations for event permissions, one that would let women in their forties and beyond (her core audience) feel the calm of her work before they ever set foot in a wood.

What she wanted from us was the technical confidence to back up her creative direction: a brand meant to feel slow and rooted, sitting on something fast and dependable underneath.

The challenge

Two things tend to pull against each other on a project like this:

  1. A founder who cares deeply about how the site feels: the typography, the pace, the photography, the tone.
  2. The unglamorous engineering that makes it actually work: bookings, payments, performance, security, backups.

Most wellbeing sites lean into the first and quietly neglect the second. Sarah’s vision deserved both. She’s also honest about technology not being her strong suit, so the process had to feel gentle as well: plain explanations, same-day replies, and room to ask anything twice.

How we approached it

We started with our usual onboarding: a thorough questionnaire, a short call to fill the gaps, then a written Project Assessment that doubles as the contract. You know the scope, timeline and exclusions up front. A 50% deposit, and we were building.

The build leans on the Atomic Design methodology we use across our customer themes: a small set of well-tested components (our atomic elements system) composed into the pages Sarah needed:

  • Home, leading with that sunlight-through-trees hero
  • My Story, Sarah’s voice in her own words
  • Experiences, with pages for Forest Bathing, the Glorious
Gardens Collective, Huddle Hut, and Wellbeing Retreats
  • Journal, for her writing
  • Connect, where enquiries come in via a contact form

Behind the scenes it’s a custom WordPress theme on a hardened plugin stack: ACF Pro for flexible content, Solid Security, WP Super Cache, Yoast SEO, Redirection, and Duplicator Pro for deploys. Bookings launch on a Stripe Buy Button, which is lighter and more reliable than wrestling a full booking engine. A complete booking system is earmarked for a later phase, once the brand is earning.

Every page is built to load fast and rank well, because a wellbeing site that takes six seconds to appear undermines the calm it’s promising.

The result

Nurture Your Nature launched on schedule, so Sarah had a real, professional presence to show
landowners and partners. Bookings flow through Stripe. The journal is open for her writing.

Here’s what Sarah had to say about the process:

It was such a pleasure working with Rikki — from the first chat to the launched website, he made everything straight forward and enjoyable, and I LOVE the end result!

Rikki was especially patient with me, with any techno-teachings that I needed, and due to the specific vision I had of how I wanted my site to appear and function. He took it all in his stride and was professional, friendly and easily contactable — thank you so much Rikki, technology has never been my strong point but you actually made it a pleasant journey!

I highly recommend Rikki and his business Trippnology, if you’re considering website design and build.

Want something like this?

If you run a wellbeing, creative or values-led business and want a site that feels as considered as the work you do, without the technical worry, get in touch. We work across Wymondham, Norwich, Attleborough, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, and nationally/internationally too.

If you’re a design or marketing agency that needs this kind of technical execution behind the creative work, we do that too, and you keep the credit. Let’s talk.
